Who We Are

The Loudoun Symphonic Winds has become one of the area's most exciting musical ensembles since its formation in 1993. Our goal is to give the Loudoun community and its neighbors an opportunity to play and hear the best of yesterday's and today's concert band music. In the footsteps of great bands from Sousa to the Eastman Wind Ensemble, LSW's members and Principal Conductor Gil Corella give you a spectrum of music from classic marches to Broadway songs to holiday favorites. The band showcases new compositions from the best of today's band composers and brings you exciting guest soloists. The Loudoun Symphonic Winds has entertained and delighted audiences from Richmond to Baltimore. In addition to our concert series and travel concerts, the Band and its ensembles perform as part of major local events such as the Babe Ruth World Series, the Neale Concert Series, 4th of July Celebrations at the Barns at Franklin Park and at Lansdowne Resort, and the Bluemont Concert Series.
